Rachel McEwen, MS, LPCC, NCC
Rachel McEwen is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor at Lee Side Wellness. She received her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Antioch College and her Master's degree in Counseling from Lewis and Clark Graduate School. She is also credentialed as a National Certified Counselor. She specializes in providing compassion-focused, person-centered therapy to children, teenagers, and adults.
Rachel strives to take a non-pathologizing approach to therapy and believes that building connection with others while embracing and understanding differences is the foundation for healing and growing. She strives to meet people where they are at in life and help guide them on their journey while providing a safe space for every individual to express their authentic self.
Rachel specializes in assessment and treatment of mental health issues including anxiety, depression, ADHD, eating disorders, trauma-related disorders, substance abuse, and relationship issues. She uses therapeutic techniques including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, emotion-focused therapy, nonviolent communication, and mindfulness.
