Kenisha Davis, APRN, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC

Kenisha Davis is a dual certified, advanced practice registered nurse. She has been in the nursing profession for the past 25 years with a dedication to providing patients with compassionate, empathetic, and holistic care that supports the “whole” person, emotionally and physically, in order to help them achieve reconstitution.

Cultivating her career through education and clinical experiences, Kenisha considers herself a lifelong learner. She obtained an Associate’s Degree in Nursing in 1999 where she began her journey at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center as a member of the float pool. That provided her with a solid foundation of knowledge across multiple areas of focus including emergency care, intensive and critical care, neurology, and psychiatry. In pursuit of higher education and learning, Kenisha obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing in 2010 and Master’s Degree in Family Nurse Practitioner in 2014 from Indiana Wesleyan University.

Understanding that her passion for helping persons across the lifespan find ways to cope with their physical illness, Kenisha later pursued her Post-Master’s Certification in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner where she graduated in 2024 from Northern Kentucky University. Kenisha continues to focus on enhancing her knowledge and is currently studying Nutrition and Integrative Medicine for Mental Health in order to provide patients with health information regarding alternative modalities that can augment the traditional methods of managing their mental health needs as they fight to return to a normal balance.

Kenisha has worked in a variety of settings which have allowed her to build a strong foundation and fosters her ability to care for her patients with diverse backgrounds and health needs. Her professional experience in mental health has been comprised of hospital and outpatient treatment with a focus on medication management for patients experiencing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, ADHD, trauma and PTSD, behavioral and anger issues, as well those struggling with dual diagnoses inclusive of substance use disorders. Her goal is to meet patients where they are in life and provide them with supportive and quality care through the utilization of active listening, patient advocacy, education and health literacy, as well as evidence-based practice strategies that promote their mental health and overall well-being. In turn, her patients will be able to stabilize their mental health and steer towards positive change and a “Sound Mind and Body”.
