About Eric Adams
Eric joined the practice at the end of 2021. He treats individuals across the spectrum of mental health concerns and disorders, with extensive experience in the field of emergency psychiatry. He is particularly passionate about providing care for psychotic and psychosis related disorders, as well as working with sexual identity and gender identity concerns. He believes firmly that everyone, regardless of their circumstances, needs advocates that come from all walks of life when working through challenging times. He treats children, adolescents, and adults.
About Mary Harrison
Mary Harrison joined Lee Side Wellness in 2022. She is an Advanced Practice Nurse with more than a 20 year history of working with adults who experience a variety of mental health conditions, including mood and anxiety disorders. Mary is known for her breadth of experience, approachability, and supportive communication style. She is passionate about combining psycho-pharmacological treatments and nutritional strategies to empower patients in their overall wellness and to improve quality of life.
About Akosua Ankomah
Akosua is a board-certified psychiatric NP with years of experience working inpatient psychiatry. She is passionate about helping individuals with behavioral health disorders improve their quality of life. She has a master’s degree in nursing from Mount Saint Joseph University and a post-master’s degree from Northern Kentucky University. She is a certified telehealth provider and offers both virtual and in-person visits. Her approach is to be non-judgmental, actively listen to her patients, and partner with them when making treatment decisions.

About NP Schauseil
DNP Schauseil is new with Lee Side Wellness since December 2021. Dr. Schauseil has a dual master’s degree in counseling education and nursing and a Doctor of Nursing practice. Her doctorate project was on attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and she has a passion for working with children and adolescents to help treat mental health issues affecting academic and home struggles. She is board certified as a family nurse practitioner with 10 years’ experience in pediatric intensive care, orthopedics, and primary care. She sees children, adolescents, and adults in our Mason office and through virtual visits.
About Summer Wilson
Summer Wilson joined Lee Side Wellness in the fall of 2021. She sees children, adolescents, and adults at the Mason office and virtually. Previously a nurse-midwife, she has a specialty certification in Perinatal Mental Health and has a passion for working with women to maintain their mental health during pregnancy and breastfeeding. As a former gymnastics coach, she is also passionate about working with children and teen athletes.

About Teaera Roland
Dr. Tyson is an Advanced Practice Nurse holding dual doctorates in psychiatric nursing practice and theology/spiritual formation. He is triple-boarded as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Adult Nurse Practitioner, and Certified Addictions Registered Nurse—Advanced Practice. He is a Fellow in the American Academy of Nurses, the highest honor a nurse can achieve. He is also distinguished as a Fellow in the International Academy of Addictions Nursing. Before entering academia and the mental health industry, Dr. Tyson served in professional ministry for many years where he focused on youth. He has extensive clinical involvement working with populations in myriad settings across Ohio, including with the #2 ranked pediatric hospital in the nation, reputable community health centers, as well as several for-profit psychiatric hospitals and substance use treatment facilities. These experiences have helped facilitate Dr. Tyson’s success in his current roles at the University of Cincinnati College of Nursing, Lee Side Wellness, and Haven Behavioral Hospital. Dr. Tyson is an Associate Professor of Clinical Nursing and Director of the Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Programs, currently the second largest graduate program at the College of Nursing. He is also founder, owner, and CEO of Lee Side Wellness, one of the largest privately held outpatient psychiatric practices in southwest Ohio, and one of the foremost NP-owned practices in the nation. Dr. Tyson’s organization employs PMHNPs, psychiatrists, psychotherapists, as well as pharmacists who offer a variety of services, including telepsychiatry, pharmacogenomics, neuromodulation, and many modalities of psychotherapy. Dr. Tyson also serves as a psychiatric hospitalist at Haven Behavioral Hospital where he treats those with severe mental illness and substance use disorders. Thanks to his generous sociopreneurial approach, Dr. Tyson has consulted with numerous PMHNPs, replicating his own practice model in dozens of successful APRN-owned and operated psychiatric treatment organizations nationally. He has made various presentations and publications on a wide range of topics, including nursing entrepreneurialism, tele-mental health, anxiety, mood and thought disorders, PTSD, ADHD, sexuality/gender issues, geriatric concerns, and substance use. He currently serves on the Mental Health Team of the University of Cincinnati Urban Health Pathway, as well as an Advisor on the Attorney General’s All-Ohio Healthcare Substance Use Disorder Interprofessional Educational Symposium Committee. Finally, Dr. Tyson serves on the Ohio Board of Nursing APRN Advisory Committee and the Ohio Association of Advanced Practice Nurses (OAAPN) Education Committee, as well as his very influential role as Chair of the ANCC PMHNP Content Expert Panel which oversees the national certification exam for psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioners. On a more personal note, Dr. Tyson hails from rural Louisiana, is an aficionado of southern foods, loves the LA Lakers, and shares with his husband three beautiful children.

About Kirk Sheppard
Kirk is a licensed professional clinical counselor with a supervisory designation and an independent chemical dependency counselor with 18 years of experience in various mental health settings. He offers both virtual and in-person counseling visits. He is also an experienced trainer, coach, and speaker and enjoys amusement parks, theatre, and writing in his spare time.
About Rachel Kingswood
Rachel Kay Kingswood, LSW, is mental health therapist specializing in autism, ADHD, addictions, chronic pain/illness, C-PTSD and anxiety disorders. She uses a holistic integrative approach to help clients learn to work with their brain and body to live their most authentic and joyful lives. Her therapeutic interventions draw from from multiple techniques and schools of thought based on each client’s unique needs, including mindfulness, Somatic Experiencing, Internal Family Systems, narrative therapy, and psychoeducation, among others.
She is a proud member and supporter of the LGBTQ+, disabled, and neurodivergent communities and works to be an active ally to all marginalized groups. She is an advocate for incorporating spirituality in therapy when desired by the client and is well versed in multiple faiths and belief systems.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens, and partner on their small farm in Dayton. She is a “massive nerd” who has far more hobbies than she has free time and is always excited to learn something new.

Alex joined Lee Side Wellness in the spring of 2020. He initially started as a TMS Treater, then became the TMS Coordinator in early 2021. He is instrumental in connecting with patients interested in exploring TMS, obtaining insurance approval, coordinating scheduling, and assuring a positive experience with TMS throughout the process.

About Carrie Snelling
Carrie is a a board certified pharmacist who has been with Lee Side Wellness since 2018. She has experience in inpatient pharmacy management as well as sterile compounding. Her role at Lee Side Wellness is to assist patients and clinicians with the complex but exciting field of pharmacogenomics and individualized medication plans.
About Maylee Gullett
Maylee joined Lee Side at the beginning of 2022. Maylee recently relocated with her family to Ohio after 15 years of sunny living in Phoenix. She has several successful years of experience in Healthcare Management and Regional Healthcare Operations. Her most recent work has been as Regional Operations Manager of multiple primary care clinics in Phoenix, AZ. She has been blessed with the opportunity to grow her experience through various areas of the Healthcare industry such as Primary Care, Naturopathic, and Psychiatry settings. She believes in promoting exceptional work ethics and healthy work environments, as well as ensuring the highest standard of compassionate care. She enjoys being a structural pillar of support and assisting in finding the tools to make everyone successful.

Kim joined the practice at the end of 2021. She is the proud mother of 4 wonderful children. Kim was born and raised in Cincinnati. She always looks forward to opportunities for vacationing at the beach and getting out in nature.
